Automation Alley is a technology business association in Southeast Michigan. Since its founding in 1999, they have expanded to include more than 1,000 businesses, educational institutions and government entities from the City of Detroit and the surrounding regions of Genesee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

Automation Alley is a non-profit organization that brings together businesses, educators and government to help entrepreneurs accelerate the commercialization of new technologies and services. To date, Automation Alley has invested in 29 local start-up technologies, totaling $6 million and assisted in creating more than 550 new jobs. The Alley also presents new opportunities for small to medium-sized enterprises that would like to send their products and services into the global marketplace. Past trade missions have garnered more than $151 million in contracts for local companies and have created more than 730 new jobs.

Emagine Entertainment is a movie theater chain that owns and operates theaters in Novi, Canton, Rochester Hills, Royal Oak and Woodhaven. The company began in 1997, and was first known as Cinema Hollywood, before they branched off to be known as Emagine Entertainment.Emagine operates theatres with a combined 10,000+ seats and 56 screens. They have been named “Best Movie Theatre” for several years running by the Detroit Free Press, the Detroit News, and WDIV. Their latest theater in Royal Oak, which opened in spring 2011, also features a bowling alley.

The Michigan Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization serving animals and people of Metro Detroit and beyond since 1877. Every year, they provide care for more than 100,000 animals between their three centers in Detroit, Rochester Hills, and Westland. They are Michigan's oldest and largest animal welfare organization and is one of the country's largest based on the number of animals cared for and the scope of their programs and services offered.
