SQL Developer

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of SQL (MSSQL and MySQL varieties), T-SQL as well as basic programming skills. The individual will be responsible for designing, testing, implementing and documenting different SQL scripts, stored procedures and applications for business workflow.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating, updating, implementing complex procedures that will be used to streamline and automate company-wide operations
  • Providing support for different groups as it relates to Information Systems
  • Providing designs, new or improvement, for many day-to-day business applications
  • Documenting all developed applications and scripts
  • Working with a team on large projects

What you should bring to the table:

  • Advanced SQL knowledge

Marketing Communications Intern

The marketing communications intern provides support to the marketing team in driving and analyzing customer marketing campaigns and strategies. This intern will focus on creating effective and unique communications and utilize social media to reach current and potential customers.

The ideal candidate should love to write, and be a ninja of getting results on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. S/he should be fun, extremely curious and driven to be part of the success of a rapidly growing communications company. Applicants are expected to be an executioner, well not that kind of executioner… s/he just needs to love to get things done, and done the right way. Applicants should have expert communication skills, have Super(wo)man writing ability, have the ability to successfully balance multiple tasks, show proficiency (really, really know how to do something) in online research (blogs, social media, etc.), and have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Docs Apps.

This internship is based out of our headquarters in Troy, Michigan. This internship requires a 20+ hour/week commitment. A scholarship will be awarded on completion of the internship and some gas cash will be provided during your time at Grid4. The schedule and length of internship is flexible. Students must be able to receive college credit or proof of the educational benefit for their internship experience.

Assignments for this position may include:

  • Online monitoring of competitors and news
  • Researching and analyzing online communities, trends, and conversations
  • Reporting on research findings
  • Writing press releases
  • Managing social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin

Sales Engineer

A qualified sales engineer candidate will be a technical resource and all-around expert, supporting the Grid4 Sales effort. This crucial role provides a shortened sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles during the sales process and ensures the solutions we deliver fit the technical requirements of the customer. Sales engineers are required to have exceptional communication skills, technical expertise in telecommunications, a sales mindset, and must work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing assistance for Sales by recommending Grid4 products which fit customer requirements
  • Working with network engineering, network operations and business development by assisting in the development of new products to enhance our sales opportunities
  • Project management of key/major accounts sales to coordinate expeditious and seamless implementation of new customers
  • Performing site surveys to address the requirements of potential customers
  • Providing technical training to sales associates. This includes new and existing sales associates
  • Ensuring orders are technically accurate

What we’d like you to bring to the table:

  • 5+ years experience in a technical role within a telecommunications organization Knowledge of T1 framing & line coding, CPE interface both analog and digital, T1 protocols including CAS and ISDN PRI (National 2), VoIP, and LAN/WAN terminology
  • CPE experience desired in PBX or key systems, data routers/switches or IAD (Intelligent Access Devices)
  • Knowledge of IP addressing
  • Sales Engineering experience a plus

Network Engineer II

L1 Network Technician

We are seeking a level 1 network technician to join our network operations team. A successful candidate must have a strong understanding of LANs and VoIP to help deliver a world-class customer experience.The candidate will be responsible for configuring and troubleshooting equipment and communicating that with the customer.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Configuring and deploying equipment to establish phone and data connections to customer equipment

Local Provisioner

We’re looking for a local provisioner to help champion the ordering and coordination processes required to on-board customers to Grid4’s network. A successful candidate will posses skills and knowledge used to facilitate number porting, directory listings, toll free porting and switched long distance services. Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing customer service order requests for voice and data services
  • Monitor, track and coordinate service orders to ensure timely and accurate service activation
  • Circuit testing & acceptance from service providers

  • Updating databases associated with orders

Client Relations Representative

We are seeking a full-time Client Relations Representative. This position will be active in delivering Grid4’s promise of a great experience to our customers. As an individual, you will build relationships with new and existing clients and act as their advocate within Grid4. A successful candidate will be one that is adept at communicating- over the phone, in person and in writing, with clients as well as within Grid4.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for client communications and conflict resolution (think: Jedi mind skills)
  • Proactively conduct account reviews to review service needs, Identify further revenue opportunities, and gauge customer satisfaction
  • Ensures all client issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner, informing Director of any issues that may arise
